I began substitute teaching at SVA 2 years ago and was the long-term substitute teacher with the Middle School Math Team. Last year, I joined the teaching staff and am excited to continue my 2nd year. Prior to teaching, I worked in the staffing, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. I grew up in Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in Biology. After graduation, I moved to the Bay Area in California, then Oregon, where I earned another BS in Accounting at the University of Linfield. I landed in Colorado in 2012 and feel settled here with my husband and 2 children. My son is a 6th grader, and my daughter is in 2nd grade at SVA. When I’m not at school, I’m busy cheering on my 2 kids in all their sports activities. I also enjoy traveling to the mountains and the ocean, hiking, true crime podcasts, binging great series, and settling in with a good book. I’m honored to be a part of the SVA family and to have the chance to reach the hearts and minds of SVA students.
