Our SkyView elementary families seek reliable and trustworthy babysitters. Many parents have indicated a preference for sitters within our SVA community.
If your current SkyView student is interested in offering babysitting or mother's helper services on weekends or during school breaks, please complete this form. This information will be exclusively shared with SkyView families who have specifically requested access to this directory and will not be distributed beyond our school community. Please do not add information for students that do not attend SVA as we will not be including them.
To participate, you (not your student) must provide your student's details and your digital signature, granting permission to include your student's information in the directory. You retain the right to request the removal of your student's information at any time. We will share the live directory with elementary families in the next couple of weeks. *Even if you filled this out last year, please fill it out again, as it is a new form.
Junior and Senior Parents/Guardians,
It was great seeing everyone back in the building this week. We are excited about the year! We will start off-campus privileges on 8/21/24. To be eligible for off-campus, the following forms must be sent from the parent/guardian’s email address for approval.
Junior/Senior Off-Campus
If you arrive late or leave campus early (in particular for off periods or work), you will also need to complete the following form (and have it approved by the administration).
HS Late Arrival/Early Release
To be eligible, we must have the forms turned in by August 21, 2024.
Orientation is August 13th, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Students need to be dropped off at the East main front doors of the school. Parents can pick their students up at the North entrance afterward. We can’t wait to see you there!
Locker Agreement Forms are available online and must be completed online. The link to the form is in Express Check-In. As long as the Locker Agreement Form is completed online through Express Check-In, Students will receive their locker number during the in-person portion of Student Check-In on Monday, August 12th.
IMPORTANT: Each student is responsible for the locker assigned to them in Infinite Campus. They may not select a locker on their own. Students who elect to set up a locker that is not assigned to them risk having their lock removed so that the student assigned to the locker can access it.
Scheduling is integral to the student’s academic success at SkyView Academy. It is essential that students thoughtfully and carefully select their courses during the course registration time frame. The HS Assistant Principals and Counselor review all transcripts, schedules, and academic planning throughout the year. Please review the schedule change guidelines.
Schedule changes are available by appointment with Mrs. Schuman (Last names A-K) or Mr. Bridgham (Last names L-Z). Please sign up using the sign-up genius link. High School Schedule Change Sign-Up .
They will be in the Upper School Library on August 12th and August 13th from 9:00 to 12:00. If you miss a sign-up and need to make changes, you can do so within the first two weeks of the school year by scheduling an appointment with Mr. Bridgham or Mrs. Schuman.
Please review the schedule change guidelines here.

The big reveal will be on Friday, August 16, AND any student who can guess the destination in advance will get a prize. Save the date for our informational meeting on Monday, August 26, where you’ll get all the details! Send your guesses to Ms. Stewart: mstewart@svak12.org. Can’t wait to tell you where we’re going. Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer.

We are excited to announce the return of our iLove girls’ conference! Originally started over a decade ago by a group of teachers, this overnight, lock-in-style event fosters community and connection among high school girls. The theme for this year, "A Moment in Time," focuses on empowering students by reminding them that challenges are temporary and can be faced with patience and strength. The event will include team-building activities, workshops, reflection, and plenty of fun.
Event Details:
Dates: November 15-16, 2024
Location: SVA Library
Time: 6:00 p.m. (pick up by 8:10 a.m. the next morning)
Meals: Dinner, snacks, and a light breakfast will be provided.
Permission forms are due no later than 10/21. *Students do not need to spend the night, but it is encouraged.
This event has been a positive and meaningful experience for students in the past, offering a unique opportunity to build friendships across different peer groups. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Schuman at kschuman@svak12.org.
