I joined the SkyView Academy team in the Summer of 2020 as the College & Career Counselor. I was eager to start advising students, as counseling and guidance are my passions. I came to SkyView Academy after retiring from the University of New Mexico after 26 years of service. I earned my BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of New Mexico. I earned my Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University. My family and I then relocated to Colorado, where I hold a Special Services Provider License.
Working as the College and Career Counselor at SkyView Academy has allowed me to help ALL SkyView students with their College and career exploration and prepare for what is to come once they graduate and move on into the real world.
I am also the SkyView Academy Middle School Girls Volleyball A Team Coach, so I feel I have a strong connection to SkyView and the students attending SkyView Academy. I will continue to uphold the Vision and the Mission of SkyView Academy and the HS Leadership Team. I am honored and proud to be a part of the wonderful SkyView Academy community.

Originally from Illinois, I earned my bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and my master’s from Midwestern University in Arizona. As an occupational therapist, I've had the joy of working with children and families across Denver, both in clinics and their homes. I’m thrilled to be part of the SkyView community! Outside of work, I enjoy hiking with my husband and our dog, Bucket, getting lost in a good book, and learning the ropes of snowboarding.
Interesting fact: I lived in Alaska for one year during my senior year of high school.
