I have been teaching at SkyView since the school opened in August 2010. I truly love SVA and am thankful to work with such a great team and wonderful families.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family! My husband and I live in Highlands Ranch and have twins who will be in fifth grade this year! We also have three dogs who are very loved and spoiled 🙂 Our favorite spot to spend time is in Grand Lake! We enjoy the calm, small mountain town and spending time on the water! It is beautiful. I love to read fiction and historical fiction books, garden, and sit outside on our patio!

This is my first year at SVA, and I am excited to be a part of the community. I attended Missouri State University, where I received a degree in Secondary English Education and met my amazing husband of 20+ years. We have lived in many places with our two daughters and have most recently moved from the Seattle area, where I was a freelance writer and substitute teacher. I grew up in East Africa, where I developed a love for different cultures and travel. My favorite thing to do is explore international locations with my family, making sure to eat all the local delicacies. When we can't visit other countries, I enjoy being in the mountains or in my yard soaking up the flowers and spending time creating and experiencing community.

My family has been part of the Skyview family for 7 years now, as I have two daughters that attend here. After being involved in the school so much with volunteering, I decided that after being a stay-at-home mom, what better place to work than SVA! This is my second year as Kindergarten ISP, and I love helping the kindergarteners and supporting the teachers. In my pre-kids life, I was a buyer for online retailers and also did a lot of web content and freelance writing. My husband and I have been married for 16 years, and we have two beautiful daughters, Reagan and Georgia. I love to craft, cook, read, and spend time with my family.

I grew up in Littleton and then moved around after high school, but nothing beats Colorado. I have been married for almost 15 years and have two amazing children and two puppies. I love all outdoor activities, reading, and binge-watching TV. Working with students is truly my passion and feel so blessed to be part of such a great community.

Hello SVA community. I am entering my 10th year at SVA, and my 13th year teaching overall. My first 7 years at SVA were spent teaching 8th grade history. I loved teaching history. I am now the MS Dean and 8th Grade Leadership teacher. I look forward to serving the community, students, and teachers.
My wife also teaches in the middle school, and my son is in 4th grade at SVA. So, I am very invested in the growth and success of SVA.
I love the outdoors and sports. I spend most of my summer camping and fishing. I am also an avid reader and I love movies.

I have enjoyed teaching 6th-grade social studies since 2016 at SVA. The SVA community is a large part of the Bow Family. My husband is also a member of the staff and our son attends school here. I coach and compete in Artistic Swimming formally known as Synchronized Swimming. My educational background consists of a degree in History with a secondary teaching license. I love teaching middle school, I taught eighth grade prior to coming to SVA. In 2021 I took on the role of history department chair.

Hi, I'm Alicia Brackney. I'm entering my fourth year at SVA and my thirteenth year of teaching. I love teaching 3rd graders! They are fun and exciting and keep me on my toes with their imaginations and funny stories! My husband is one of the high-school history teachers at SVA. The joy of our lives is our fun-loving little girl named EmJ!

I am a Colorado native. After graduating High School, I joined the Marine Corps and served as Military Police for 4 years in Japan, California, and on a combat tour in Iraq. I transferred from the Corps to the Army National Guard and pursued a degree in History and a Secondary Teaching Certificate from the University of Northern Colorado. I've been at SVA for a full decade. My wife teaches at SVA, and we have a daughter who is attending pre-K here as well.

I am the Nurse for SVA! The healthcare team manages the medical, health, and safety needs of the SVA community. I consult and partner with SVA to provide nurse services. I am a Nationally Certified School Nurse and Board-Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care. I am married with two adult children, and in my free time, I enjoy horses, camping, kayaking, decorating, country dancing, and all things family, friends, and Colorado!

¡Hola! I am Miss Bybee, and I have the pleasure of teaching Spanish in the Middle School. I am a native Spanish and Portuguese speaker; therefore highly qualified to teach this language. I studied at The University of Colorado, where I received a Bachelors degree. This will be my seventh year at SkyView. I could not be more excited to be part of this school and community. I love getting to spend my days practicing one of my native languages with my students and learning about different cultures. After school, you will find me spending time with my dogs, doing a lot of yoga, and hiking. Go Hawks!
