When I am not at Skyview caring for kids, I can be found exploring the mountains with my family, grabbing coffee with friends, capturing beauty with my camera, or encouraging those around me.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism from Utah State University, Julia Ferre built a career crafting on-air and online media before finding her path to education. She was accepted into the Boettcher Teacher Residency Program in 2016. During residency, Ferre shared her content author, editor, and technology researcher experiences with students at a Douglas County neighborhood school. She completed a Master of Arts in Education with a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learner Endorsement from Adams State University. After four years as a 5th-grade teacher, she became the 8th-grade science teacher at SkyView Academy. Her science instruction includes career-focused preparation, vocabulary acquisition strategies, and experiential collaboration amongst student squads. She believes student-designed environments and student-selected demonstrations of learning foster the strongest intrinsic motivation. Her past careers in television news, corporate communications, website design, and telephony inspire the projects she encourages students to develop. Asking students to practice job skills while tackling domain-specific learning targets is done through workplace-style models and with support from guests who are industry leaders and subject-matter experts. She reports her most profound professional development has come from her own teenagers, “They have opened my eyes to how much love secondary students need.” In addition to teaching five sections of 8th-grade science, she is also the teacher-sponsor of STEMblazers on the SVA campus – the only campus in Douglas County to host specialized career development workshops for teens. Ferre has previously been named a finalist for Colorado Teacher of the Year.

If you search for Adam Fiedor on the internet, you will find that I am an investment banker who works with business owners and entrepreneurs on transitioning their companies to new ownership. You may even run across the fun fact that I previously worked on Wall Street and have a history of consulting with boards of directors with strategy planning, financial analysis, and mergers & acquisitions. If you dig far enough, you may even find that I am an advisory board member and regular guest lecturer for the University of Denver Reiman School of Finance. I also happen to have studied at the University of Denver as well as Harvard Business School. I previously served on a non-profit board – Cottonwood Institute.
What you will not find on the internet is that I am the first-born son to Polish immigrants who raised me in the south Chicagoland area. As a teenager, I had a colorful past and have made mistakes along the way. I am not perfect, but I succeeded in being the first of my immediate family ever to finish college. Along the way, I fell in love with a woman that is out of my league, Barb Fiedor, who keeps me honest and on my toes. We are raising three wonderful SkyView students – Lukas, Kaija, and Savannah – who continue to surprise me in good ways and test my patience.
My kids have asked me why I want to be a director. Secretly, they believe that I am doing this, so I have direct access to their teachers to spy on them. My public answer to them is that I want to help SkyView become the best, pay it forward because someone has to, and be a great example to all of our kids.
This is my 2nd year at Sky View Academy. I am from Mexico, and I am the HS Spanish Teacher.

I am so honored to be a member of SkyView Academy’s Leadership Team. It means the world to me to work alongside a team that values student success and well-being as much as I do. I earned my bachelor’s and master's degrees from Northern Illinois University. After working in the Boston area in both the school setting and private practice for 10 years, the birth of our daughter brought us to the Denver area to be near family. SkyView welcomed me in 2011 as the K-12 speech and language pathologist. It has been an amazing experience to be a part of the growth and development of the Student Support Services team over the past 11 years. All students present with a unique combination of gifts and challenges. I am passionate about making learning accessible to all students and am grateful to have the opportunity to facilitate student development and confidence. Building and maintaining relationships with students, staff, and families is super important to me. I will continue to work with students schoolwide as a speech-language pathologist and as the Student Support Services Director.
When I'm not working, I do my best to keep up with my daughter. You can usually find me at a sporting event or driving to and from practices with our dog as my co-pilot. I also enjoy cooking, baking, traveling, hiking and reading.
I am committed to this school, our students, and our incredible staff. I'm so excited for a new school year!

I am so excited to start my second year at SkyView Academy. I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and moved with my family to London, UK as a teenager. After working as a Speech Therapist in London and for a political think tank in Brussels, Belgium, I moved to the US. I then decided to pursue my passion for supporting all students as a School Counselor. I have a wonderful 10-year-old son who loves to ski, play soccer, and travel. I also have a very sweet mini-Goldendoodle Lucky, who is our therapy dog. She comes to SkyView 2 days a week and is part of the team!

Middle School Sped ISP. Taught HS and MS English and Speech before I was married. I have also dabbled in hotel management/event planning and corporate property management. When I became a mom, I decided I wanted to do that full-time. I loved being a stay-at-home mom for many years. However, I spent two years subbing at SVA during Covid, and it rekindled my love of teens and teaching. I live with my husband, 3 crazy kids, and my super cute dog in Highlands Ranch. We love this place, and we are so thankful we have been part of the SVA family since 2012 when my oldest started preschool.

Music has been a part of my life since I was a young child – now I have the blessing and privilege of sharing music with students. I have been at SkyView Academy since 2013 and I absolutely love it! I teach K-5th grade music and direct the Sounds of the Sky Elementary Choir. My teaching journey started in Denver, transitioned to Heritage High School (my alma mater), then transitioned to staying home with my 3 boys (for 13 years). While I raised our boys, I also taught lessons and managed the Parker branch of the Children’s Music Academy. I live in Parker with my husband. I enjoy golfing, walks, participating on my church worship team, coffee, reading a good book, and spending time with my family (we play many games and outdoor activities).

I'm a NYer through-n-through, transplanted to Colorado in 2000, and haven't looked back. Although, I do miss the cultural diversity and authentic food! Love the Rocky Mountains and endless trails for hiking and cycling, my therapy. I have one daughter and three Boston Terriers, my fur babies. My hubby and I started ballroom dancing at Fred Astaire dance studios and are having so much fun! An unknown fact about me is that my uncle was an extra in the movie the God Father, dancing the Waltz in the wedding scene. I guess dancing runs in the family. 😉

I was born and raised in Colorado. I went to Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where I met my husband, Mike, and began a career as a Kindergarten teacher. I am the mother of three adult children. When my kids were little, I stayed home for many years. I used my sewing skills to start a custom sewing business for interior furnishings. I love my Rez dog, Jayne. As a native, I enjoy hiking and skiing in the mountains. My sweet tooth fuels the baker in me. I also enjoy reading and making things with my hands.

It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with the Leadership team at SVA. I began working at SVA as the Assessment Coordinator, then moved into the Assistant Principal role, and now I am the Lower School Principal. I graduated from Southern Illinois University after having two children, Nicolas and Jenna and then moved out to Colorado. For the past 20 years I have been working at charter schools in the South Metro area, mostly as an Elementary Teacher serving students in grades 3-5, as well as being a literacy specialist for a few years. I believe in the vision and mission here at SkyView and look forward to working with the amazing staff here. I spend my free time with my adult children and granddaughters, traveling to college football games, and hiking and camping during the summer.
