I love the challenge of providing and maintaining an innovative learning environment that makes a difference for our students, staff and our entire SVA community. I have had wonderful opportunities for over 20+ years working with great educators and technology professionals along the front range. My passions include my faith, family and friends enjoying every minute of our precious time together. I have been married to my wonderful wife, Terri for over 30 years and have three children and 2 grandchildren. Life is good!

I worked for seven years as a teacher in California before moving to Colorado in 2004. While I stayed home with my boys for twelve years, I remained involved in education by substituting at SkyView. Luckily, the job of Registrar became available while on a long-term assignment and I joined SkyView full-time in 2016. I enjoy reading, gardening, movies, remodeling and traveling in my spare time.

My bachelor's degree is from Colorado State University in Human Development and Family Studies, and my first master’s degree is from the University of Colorado in Early Childhood Special Education. Recently, I received a second master’s degree in Business Administration from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
My career began in public PK-12 classrooms, and the journey that followed included master teaching/training, charter school start-up, and staff recruitment. In all, I have worked to create 17 new public charter schools across the nation serving all grade levels. This work includes the recruitment and development of governing boards, foundations, and building corporations, as well as related advocacy efforts, financial planning, operations, and facility acquisition/renovation. In addition, I have fifteen years of administrative and leadership experience, including consultant work managing local and state grant and evaluation programs. I worked for the Colorado League of Charter Schools for 5 years and for the Colorado Association of Charter School Authorizers for 2 years. Currently, I am serving as the Director of Finance, Operations, and Human Resources at SkyView Academy Charter School. I am a founder of SkyView, and both of my boys attended for 10 years.

¡Hola! I'm Sra. Johnson, and I get the pleasure of teaching Spanish 1B in the Middle School. I studied Spanish and Education at CU Boulder (Go Buffs), and this is my third year at SkyView. I could not be more excited to be part of this school and community. I love getting to spend my days practicing another language with students and learning about different cultures. You will also find me out on the field most days since I am the Middle School Cross Country and Track coach. In my free time, you will probably find me running in the mountains or trying out a new recipe. I love my job and am a proud SVA Hawks fan!

I joined the SkyView Academy team in the Summer of 2020 as the High School College & Career Counselor. My family and I relocated to CO that same summer after retiring from the University of New Mexico with 26 years of service. I earned my BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of New Mexico and earned my Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University. I currently hold a CO Professional Special Services License.
Working as the College & Career Counselor at SkyView Academy has allowed me to help ALL SkyView students with their college exploration, career exploration, and helping them prepare for what is to come once they graduate and move on into the real world. I am passionate about my work and the connections I build with our students.
I am also the SkyView Academy Middle School Girls Volleyball A Team Coach. Being involved with the SVA community in this way has allowed me to bridge that connection between the middle and the high schools. I will continue to uphold the Vision and the Mission of SkyView Academy and the High School Leadership Team. I am honored and proud to be a part of the wonderful SkyView Academy community.

¡Hola! I am Señora Langton, and I am going to be teaching Elementary Spanish at SkyView. I am so excited to share my love of the Spanish language with my students. My family is from Ecuador, South America and Spanish was my first language. I have been fortunate enough to have made many foreign trips to learn about many different cultures. Learning a new language can be intimidating, but I believe that my enthusiastic, cultural approach to teaching Spanish will help students to acquire language skills in a manner that keeps them interested and motivated. I can not wait to meet my new students!
