I am so fortunate to be part of the leadership team at SkyView Academy and honored to work alongside an amazing team of educators. My journey of working in education has not been traditional, but education has always been at the core of all that I have done. I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Orlando, Florida in the middle of 7th grade. My Puerto Rican heritage has provided me with a love of family, music, food, language, and culture. After earning my undergraduate degree from Florida State University, I had the great opportunity to teach in a small school in Panajachel, Guatemala. My experiences in Central America inspired me to pursue graduate studies in Psychology. My internship brought our family out to Denver where I had the privilege to work at Children’s Hospital Colorado. I worked for nearly ten years in a neurological rehabilitation setting helping infants, children and teenagers recover from brain and spinal cord injuries. In my pursuit to return to education, I landed a dream job here at SkyView Academy teaching Spanish and Leadership in the Fall of 2014. SVA’s vision to prepare students to be lifelong learners and honorable leaders exemplifies what I value in education for my own children, who both attend and will graduate from SkyView Academy. Sebastian will be graduating this year and Siena is a sophomore. It’s incredible how time has flown! My lovely wife of 19 years works at Craig Hospital and we love our pet-filled home in Roxborough, Colorado. Most weekends we enjoy our gardens and being outdoors. I am so excited about this school year and humbled to be in my new role as Upper School Principal.

My husband, daughter and I moved to Colorado in the fall of 2019. We've lived in many different locations, and we love the beauty and adventure of Colorado. I fill a broad spectrum of roles at SVA and love that no day ever turns out to be the same. I'm looking forward to getting to know more students and parents this year!

I was raised in NY. Moved to Denver after graduating with a computer science and math degree to be a Software Engineer. After having three boys, I switched to MS Math teacher. I love teaching because I love the energy of the students and want all students to appreciate, love, and see the value of math. I love Colorado mountains for skiing, hiking, biking, and tent camping. My favorite hobbies are hiking, eating out, and watching movies with my family.
