¡Hola! I am Sra. Tan. Although I was born in New York, I moved to Costa Rica when I was four years old and graduated from high school there. I am fluent in English and Spanish and fairly proficient in Korean as well. I have two daughters, a middle schooler and a high schooler. I began substitute teaching at SkyView in 2020 and have been in several classrooms, but the subject I most enjoy teaching is Spanish. Before moving to Colorado in 2017, I was a lawyer in Illinois, representing mostly Spanish-speaking clients. I have experienced firsthand the advantages and opportunities of speaking another language and hope to impart my enthusiasm for Spanish and the joy of learning about other cultures and countries to my students.
