Claire went on an 8 day medical mission trip to Peru her sophomore year, where she helped set up and maintain medical clinics in multiple pueblos throughout the country. “SkyView Academy’s small class sizes, Socratic seminars, and debates taught me how to think and defend my thoughts in a well-researched manner. My freshman year of college was a breeze because I knew how to break down writing prompts, read and comprehend scientific literature, and debate in an effective manner, unlike many of my classmates. As a result of SkyView’s small school size and the genuine care of teachers, I was able to balance academics and athletics. I participated in many varsity level sports and, with the help and encouragement of Coach Martin, was recruited to play collegiate varsity soccer. My SkyView Academy education provided the foundation necessary to ultimately get admitted into the highly competitive Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at the University of Florida.”
