Biography

I'm a photographer who loves teaching art. I started out as a photographer and did that for 8 years before adding teaching to my repertoire. With 11 years of experience teaching Middle and Elementary ART in the Baltimore City Public School System and 4 years teaching high school Photography, Commercial Photography, 2D Art, Advanced 2D, and 3D Art for School District 49, I've learned how vital mutual respect is in the classroom, and I strive to create a safe, inviting environment for learning. I enjoy sharing my love of art-making with students, no matter the age group. I practice what I teach and am constantly creating art.

You may find me at a Maker's Market selling jewelry, at a concert taking photos of bands, in the field taking photographs at weddings, doing portraits of pets, and even seniors, families, and kids. Creating and connecting with my students is my why.
