US News and World Reports ranks SkyView Academy High School #2 in Douglas County 

The ranking is based on the following criteria: 

-College Readiness 

- Standardized SAT test scores 

-Graduation rates 

-The percentage of students who take AP exams 

-The percentage of students who pass AP exams 

- Student Reading, Math, and Science proficiency scores

SkyView Academy shines within our community. I would assert it is among the best of the best. As is imperative in all such assertions, it is important to provide documentation and data to support such a claim. With exceeding joy, I share data that validates my claims.

As I processed how I wanted to reveal the most recent accomplishments at SkyView Academy, I contemplated many comparisons. I immediately thought of “The Little Engine that Could.” When I asked my husband for examples, he reminded me that Tom Brady was selected 199th in the 2000 NFL draft. I could recount numerous David and Goliath stories throughout sports history. 

SkyView Academy finds itself nestled amongst amazing schools. The Denver Metro area touts schools of excellent caliber. This week, we learned that SkyView Academy stands tall among giants. 

Incredible timing, right?

This week, we celebrate our faculty and staff. We recognize their continued servant leadership and sacrifice. We express gratitude for their incredible work ethic. We celebrate their continual investment in the lives of our precious students. Amid these celebrations, I learned that their efforts pay dividends into the academic success of our life-long learners and honorable leaders. 

This week we celebrate the impact of our educators in the following ways: 

• 99% of our K-2 students are reading at or above end of year benchmarks as measured by state standards.
• Our 3-8th grade students met or exceeded state standards in reading, math, and science as recognized by U.S. News and World Reports.
• US News and World Reports ranks SkyView Academy as one of the best schools in the Nation.
• US News and World Reports ranks our high school 27th in the state of Colorado  among all high schools.
• US News and World Reports ranks our high school 14th in the Denver Metro Area.

I can never repay our educators for their efforts as they redefined their practice during a pandemic. Perseverance and determination defined them in new ways. Their efforts resulted in continued growth and academic success. 

Our educators live our vision and mission and model it for their students day in and day out. So, as we close our week of appreciation, I again highlight the impact our educators have on both the immediate education of our students and their future.
