Attention SVA students in grades 6, 7, and 8! On January 22nd and 23rd, auditions are coming up for our production of Alice in Wonderland. To participate, pick up a packet from the folder outside Mrs. Vitulli's room (125), fill it out, and get a parent's signature. Remember, signed forms are due by January 17. Once submitted, you'll access the Alice in Wonderland Google Classroom page. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!
UPDATE: Auditions for the Middle School production of Alice in Wonderland....and back again will be rescheduled for Wednesday, January 29th, and Thursday, January 30th. All sign-up times will remain the same, just moved to next week.

Middle/High School Schedules Although student schedules will be available in the IC Portal on August 1st, we ask that you not print them until August 6th, as scheduling changes are still taking place. Please bring your paper schedule to Student Check-In.
Email David Bow if you have any questions about scheduling. Schedule changes will only be made if students were placed in the wrong course level, e.g., Math 8, when they should have had Math 7.
Locker Agreement Forms are available online and must be completed online. The link to the form is in Express Check-In. As long as the Locker Agreement Form is completed online through Express Check-In, Students will receive their locker number during the in-person portion of Student Check-In on Monday, August 12th.
IMPORTANT: Each student is responsible for the locker assigned to them in Infinite Campus. They may not select a locker on their own. Students who elect to set up a locker that is not assigned to them risk having their lock removed so that the student assigned to the locker can access it.

8th-grade students participate in leading elementary and preschool student activities.
Conferences are scheduled for October 9th and 10th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In the fall, we encourage all families who are interested in meeting with a teacher to participate. The conferences will follow an "open house" format, with teachers stationed in their classrooms for parents to drop by and check-in. Each conference will be 4-7 minutes long, allowing us to accommodate as many families as possible. If you feel that a longer conversation is necessary, you and the teacher can arrange a follow-up meeting. Thank you for your continued support in your students' education.

Tryouts will start on Monday, December 16th. You must complete and pay for the MS Sports registration for girls' basketball by 8:00 AM on December 16th. Take action and ensure you do this using the provided link.
Additionally, you are required to send an updated sports physical form to Jake Gregory at jgregory@svak12.org. Do not miss these deadlines!
You must be registered through Sports Engine by 8:00 a.m. on December 16th—no exceptions will be made after this deadline. Additionally, ensure that your sports physical is up to date; you will be ineligible to participate until this requirement is fulfilled.

Parents and Guardians will be notified of the team selection for their daughter on Thursday, December 19th, either in the afternoon or evening. Please be aware that cuts may occur; if your daughter is cut from the team, you will receive a full refund.

We're so excited that SkyView will again participate in the Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop to spread holiday cheer! The Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop is a fun way for students to shop for family members and experience the spirit of giving while learning to earn, budget, and save!
Due to popular demand, we would like to invite middle school students to shop again this year!
Students in grades 6-8 may visit the Penguin Patch on Monday or Tuesday, December 9th and 10th, before school from 7:40 to 8:00 AM. Please note that middle school students will only have the opportunity to shop during these two mornings. It is the responsibility of the students to shop and arrive to their first-period class on time. Attendance will not be excused for tardiness due to shopping.
Your student will have over 100 delightful gifts to choose from, all priced from $0.50 to $18 (items listed on the Penguin Patch website are not necessarily what will be at our school shop).
Only CASH will be accepted. Checks and credit cards will be turned away.
Attention 3rd/4th and 5th/6th graders interested in joining the Battle of the Books teams!
Tryouts will be held on November 11, 12, or 13 from 3:30 to 4:00 PM in the Elementary Library. Please pick one of these days to attend.
Teams will be announced on November 14th.
