DCSD Emergency Feeding flyer (removed)

March 12, 2020

Dear Families,

As you know, DCSD and several other major school districts announced closures. DCSD announced that it would be closed from March 16th-March 27th. SkyView Academy will follow suit with this closure. Tomorrow, we will ensure that students wrap up final assignments in advance of Spring Break. Additionally, we will ensure that students pack up all the necessary supplies for remote learning. It is our intention to provide remote learning from March 23rd to March 27th. We want to recap communication sent out today and provide what communication will be forthcoming.

Information Recap:

Information to Follow Soon:

We created a COVID-19 link at the top of our SkyView Academy website for your convenience. We recognize that this is a challenging and stressful event. We are working around the clock to support our community to provide education during this time.

Honored to Serve You All,

SVA Administration

Dear SVA Families,

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended school districts across the country plan for remote learning, should school closures become necessary in the future. In order to have an effective remote learning plan in place, we are asking our families to assist us by assessing your household’s preparedness for, and access to, online learning opportunities.

Can you provide your student with the capabilities to access remote learning? If you cannot, please take a moment to fill out the Device Access Form (one per student) so that we have a better idea of the needs of our families.

Thank you,

SVA Administration

March 12, 2020

Dear SVA Community,

Over Spring Break our professional cleaning company will be working to complete a deep clean in the school.  This will include a disinfectant clean on all desks and doorknobs. We have also purchased additional hand sanitizers and will start to install them as of today.  In addition, we have purchased cleaners specific for the COVID- 19 virus and will provide access to staff to treat rooms and common areas. The students will not have access to these cleaning products, but these products will be available for staff use after Spring Break. We will also not allow staff in over the break so that the deep cleaning can be effective for when we return.

Thank you,

SVA Administration
