Biography

The 2023-2024 school year marks my 31st year in education. John C. Maxwell said, “Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” I subscribe to this claim completely. Further, I believe and fully support the vision and mission of SkyView. I serve the community alongside some of the most amazing educators in the field. I am humbled by the opportunity to lead the SkyView community in the role of Head of Schools. My educational journey led me to SkyView in 2012. I graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1992 with a degree in English. I continued my education at Bethany College in Scotts Valley, California, in 1994, where I completed graduate school for Educator Licensing in Leadership and Teaching and Curriculum and Instruction. I believe to my core we are educating the future to change the world. As educators, I believe we are called to meet students where they are and develop them holistically. To that end, I am committed to ensuring we prioritize the academic, emotional, social, physical, and mental development of the students in our charge.
