SkyView Academy works with our students throughout their high school experience to help ensure they are academically ready for life beyond high school. Students select course offerings based on interests and abilities. We encourage students to discuss their post-graduation goals with teachers, counselors and family members and know and understand our graduation requirements.
SkyView has the following minimum graduation requirements to allows students the opportunity to explore their passions whether they lie in academics, arts or athletics:
- English – 4 credits
- Math – 4 credits
- Science – 4 credits
- History – 4 credits
- Latin (intro) – .5 credits
- Logic – .5 credits
- Rhetoric – 1 credit
- Fine Arts – .5 credits
- Language – 2 credits
- Electives – 4.5 credits
- Physical Education – 1 credit
- Service Hours – 40 hours per academic year
Total Academic Credits Required for Graduation – 26
SkyView graduation requirements exceed expectations of most Douglas County high schools. Our program is focused on effectively preparing students for the academic rigor of college. Students graduating from SkyView Academy typically meet or exceed college entrance requirements.
