Jon Ail

Jon Ail, High School Principal

I am honored to be part of SkyView and have the opportunity to work with our amazing leadership team, Board, staff and families to serve our students. Originally from Philadelphia, PA I love the Eagles, the Flyers, cheesesteaks, and the movie Rocky.  After  graduating from Bloomsburg University of PA with a BA in Mathematics and completing coursework for a degree in education I was hired by a private school before completing my student teaching. I went on to earn my Professional Teaching License through Fort Hays State University in Kansas, and have also attended seminary where earning a MA in Management and Leadership. I completed the principal licensure program through the University of Colorado Denver and am currently working toward my Doctor of Education (EdD) in Executive Leadership and Policy. My background in education includes teaching at private, charter, and public schools across middle school, high school, college, and even GED math at an adult learning center. I’ve worked with very diverse student populations, coached a variety of sports, and had the privilege to work at one of the top 100 charter schools in the country. My free time is spent with my amazing wife, Tara, and my incredible son, Corbin along with mountain climbing, hunting, sports, reading/studying, and enjoying yard-work (believe it or not).

Janet Worley

Janet Worley, Middle School Principal

John C. Maxwell said, “Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” I subscribe to this claim completely. Further, I believe and fully support the vision and mission of SkyView. During my time at SkyView, I have had the privilege of investing in the lives of our students and families in a tangible way. I serve the community alongside some of the most amazing educators in the field, and I am humbled by the opportunity to serve the SkyView community in the role of middle school principal. My educational journey led me to SkyView in 2013. I graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo in 1992, then went on to attend Bethany College in Scotts Valley, California in 1994 where I completed graduate school for Curriculum and Instruction. Before moving to Colorado with my husband Paul, whom I have known since elementary school, I taught middle school English for five years. I taught in Colorado for five years before deciding to stay home for a few years with my two beautiful children, Maddy and Hunter. Maddy committed to Northern Arizona University on early decision in September 2015 and is enrolled in honors college and intends to double major in Criminology and Photography. Hunter continues to pursue his passions of sports broadcasting and baseball.

Jeri Bisbee

Jeri Bisbee, Elementary School Principal

I am thrilled to be serving the students, staff and families of SkyView Academy as Elementary Principal and am thankful for the opportunity to serve our students, staff and families in developing lifelong learners and honorable leaders. My heart and passion for quality instruction and my background in serving the charter school community in Colorado for the past 15 years in a variety of settings makes calling SkyView “home” a true joy. My education degrees include a BS in Elementary Education from Kansas State University and a M.Ed in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. My diverse background in education includes working as a former Core Knowledge classroom teacher, Core Knowledge trainer/facilitator, Administrator, Board Member and supporter of charter schools around the state at the Colorado Department of Education. I love exploring the great outdoors of Colorado and all of the fun that each season brings. I have 2 grown sons and a beautiful “daughter-in-love” and a little, furry canine named Vinnie.

Lori Bachtel

Lori Bachtel, Business and Operations Director

Having served at SkyView Academy for the last 5 years as the Business Manager, I’m excited to take on this leadership role.  I bring to SkyView an extensive background in Accounting, ranging from Corporate Accounting and Banking to Project Accounting at the Douglas County School District.  While at Douglas County, I managed funds from Bonds and funds from Certificates of Purchase for Construction projects.  One of the many projects that I oversaw funding for was the original purchase and construction of SkyView Academy.  I am extremely excited to be working in the education field supporting the staff and students of SVA.  I look forward to providing all that I can to make SkyView Academy a leading charter school.  In addition to my work hat at SVA, I also serve as the MS Girls Basketball coach, which is very rewarding.  I am originally from Kansas, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Master’s degree in Business Administration.  I love being in beautiful Colorado but also enjoy traveling to new places. Outside of the office, I enjoy skiing, hiking, reading, watching sports and spending time with my husband and two children.

Kimberly Ellis

Kim Ellis, Preschool Director

Hello Preschool Families! My name is Kimberly Ellis. I am so excited to be heading into my first year with SkyView Academy. I am so excited to be working with all the amazing teachers here at SkyView.  I love that you can feel their passion for teaching, right as you walk in the door. I studied at Colorado State University, obtaining my Bachelors degree in History in May, 2007.  My original dream was to become a History teacher but fell in love with the littles and Early Childhood Education.  I then continued my education in Early Childhood and obtained my Director’s licence in 2013.  I have taught Preschool for seven years and was an Assistant Director for three years.  I am thrilled to be continuing in my career and calling SkyView Academy my home. I can’t wait to meet the students and families I will be working with this school year. I am looking forward to putting my skills and knowledge into practice, to continue on in my journey of being an effective Early Childhood Educator so your students get the high quality education they all deserve.
