Theresa is originally from Detroit, MI but relocated to Colorado in 2006 after visiting Denver and falling in love with the sunshine and mountains.  Theresa is married and has one daughter who attends 4th grade at SVA.  In her free time, Theresa enjoys yoga, traveling and supporting various local dog rescues through fostering pups (having recently “foster-failed” with a senior, disabled Chihuahua named ‘Edith”).  Theresa enjoys volunteering at SkyView Academy and has been an active member of the School Academic Accountability Committee (SAAC) for the past three years.  Prior to COVID, Theresa’s favorite SVA volunteer opportunity was the role of “Room Mom” to plan/host classroom parties and provide classroom support to the homeroom teacher.

Needless to say, we have been a part of the SkyView family for over ten years and have a lot invested! We love to be involved at SkyView, and I also enjoy occasionally teaching Sunday School at our church and coaching my girls whenever possible.

I attended Metro State University and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems. Currently, I am the Director of Global Data and Digital Technology for Optiv, and am also a member of the off-ice officiating crew for the National Hockey League at Colorado Avalanche home games.

I strive to bring to this board position the same values SkyView is instilling into our students: character, service, and integrity, as well as a balanced view of what is best for our students, parents, and staff. My vision and goal for SkyView is to accept the baton from the current board, accelerate SkyView to the next level over the course of the next three years and continue to develop honorable leaders in this next generation.

Biography

If you search for Adam Fiedor on the internet, you will find that I am an investment banker who works with business owners and entrepreneurs on transitioning their companies to new ownership. You may even run across the fun fact that I previously worked on Wall Street and have a history of consulting with boards of directors with strategy planning, financial analysis, and mergers & acquisitions. If you dig far enough, you may even find that I am an advisory board member and regular guest lecturer for the University of Denver Reiman School of Finance. I also happen to have studied at the University of Denver as well as Harvard Business School. I previously served on a non-profit board – Cottonwood Institute.

What you will not find on the internet is that I am the first-born son to Polish immigrants who raised me in the south Chicagoland area. As a teenager, I had a colorful past and have made mistakes along the way. I am not perfect, but I succeeded in being the first of my immediate family ever to finish college. Along the way, I fell in love with a woman that is out of my league, Barb Fiedor, who keeps me honest and on my toes. We are raising three wonderful SkyView students – Lukas, Kaija, and Savannah – who continue to surprise me in good ways and test my patience.

My kids have asked me why I want to be a director. Secretly, they believe that I am doing this, so I have direct access to their teachers to spy on them. My public answer to them is that I want to help SkyView become the best, pay it forward because someone has to, and be a great example to all of our kids.
